Resolved Question: Can a Cessna 150/172 have both floats AND tires?
Pardon this obvious noob question, but I am curious. I live in Ohio not near any water, but right next to two grass airfields. I have lakefront property in Michigan on a small private lake that occassionally have small planes land on it.
Is it at all possible, to outfit a small cessna with both floats for landing at the lake, but also with tires for taking off from the airfield? In my mind, I have envisioned a plane with floats with a wheel assembly that rests above the floats when in water, but out and over the floats to rest below the floats for airfield landing.
Thanks.
Resolved Question: Question about lakefront properties / Real Estate ???
I’am sick of living in the city , are there any reasonabley priced homes directly across from a lake that you can purchase for around $150,000 to $250,000 ??? Not a small pond either , a LARGE lake right on the shore line . Maybe in Michigan or Wisconsin by Lake Michigan or a larger lake ??? There are places in Chicago by the lake but they are very expensive and are high rises / condos . Are these properties only for the spoiled and rich ?? Any info or links would be appreciated .
Thanks
Resolved Question: How does Michigan law define ownership of surface waters?
I once heard that the Michigan Constitution stated that all permanent waters were held in public trust, but this has been challenging to find in the text. I am mostly interested in the implications of the law with regard to recreational use of lakes and ponds and adjacent shoreline. For example, does a lakefront property owner have exclusive use rights up to the present water level or the official high or mean water mark?
